We work in two shapes: a six-week foundation project to get your reporting standing up, and a flat monthly retainer afterwards. One-off deep dives are available for clients already on a retainer.
Foundation engagement — six weeks
The foundation engagement is for teams that have data in two or three systems and no central reporting yet. In six weeks we deliver:
- A Postgres warehouse hosted on your infrastructure or ours, with daily or hourly loads from your source systems.
- A dbt project with 20 to 40 modeled tables covering your core business objects (customers, subscriptions, invoices, orders, usage events).
- Six to ten dashboards covering the questions your leadership asks most often: revenue, retention, pipeline, operational SLAs.
- A written data dictionary, so three months from now your new hire can tell what each table is for.
Fixed fee, scoped before the engagement starts. No change orders for the agreed deliverables.
Monthly retainer
After the foundation, most clients continue on a monthly retainer. For a flat fee we:
- Keep the pipelines running and the dashboards accurate.
- Add new tables and dashboards as the business evolves.
- Answer two to five ad-hoc questions per month in writing.
- Send a short monthly readout with the numbers you watch and a note on anything unusual.
Three tiers: light (two days per month), standard (one day per week), heavy (two days per week). Pricing on the intro call.
Scoped deep dives
Available for retainer clients only. Churn investigations, pricing analysis, cohort studies, forecasting models. Scoped as separate projects on top of the retainer.
